Preston Study Club members held an evening of merriment last Wednesday in the Power and Light Co. auditorium. Teachers Mrs. Stella Boothe Mrs. Susié Buxton and Tepesa Smith led spelling and arithmetic activities while guests wore school child disguises. Cream soda and school lunches were served. 24 attended. Special guest Mrs. Anna Taylor of Dillon Ontario joined. The Jamison family announced birth of a son Aug. 23. Grandson visit noted as well. A farewell testimonial honors Charles Affleck, bound for LDS mission in Chicago with northern states headquarters.
A testimonial service for Stanton S. Nuffer will be held Sunday at 7:30 PM in Preston first ward. Nuffer, son of Edwin J. and the late, plans to serve a mission in the north central states after graduating from Preston High School and attending BYU.
The obituary notes George L Wright with remarks and musical tributes by Ada Chatterton Myrtle Woodward and Villa Woodward. Frank E Woodward offered a benediction at Franklin cemetery dedication by Pres Weldon Nash. Pallbearers included Horace Hawkes Haworth James Haworth Percy Gibson Floyd Robinson Darrel Fuhriman. honorary pallbearers listed.
Friday night the Crockett School of Dance presents a performance at 8 o clock in the Preston High School auditorium featuring fifty students in modern toe tap ballet and other numbers. Admission is free and open to all.
