The Cache Valley Auction Co. conducted a junior fat stock sale with 4 H and FRA members. Douglas SRPA reported totals including 4745.92 dollars and a 24 cents per pound price for a Preston calf selling at 266 40. Buyers included First Security Bank Preston Knudson Packing Co Wangsgaard Heating and Appliance W G Gilbert and Preston Animal Hospital plus out of town Peck Brothers Ogden Livestock Co. A 100 pound 4 H Beutler lamb sold for 24 25 per cwt to First Security Bank Preston.

Firemen were dispatched Sunday to the M. L. Hollingsworth ranch in Wind er when an old brooder coop burned to the ground. Damage was estimated at 500 dollars. Cause undetermined. Wright of Franklin Dies at Home After Long Service
George Wright former Franklin County official and Idaho dairy director died Friday night at his Franklin home aged 68. Born Sept 11 1874 in Franklin he married Zitelie Nash in Salt Lake City in 1903. He retired from farming in 1946 and held posts as county commissioner bank director and board member of the Idaho Pioneer Association. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Franklin ward chapel with Bishop Samuel Handy presiding.

The U S Atomic Energy Commission traveling exhibit Atoms for Peace will visit Preston next Sunday. Preston Jaycees announce a self contained mobile unit touring the city with panels on mining refining reactors and radioisotopes uses. The exhibit runs 4 p m to 8 p m on State Street with free admission and invites all residents.
