Countywide Bond Vote Sought for New Hospital Project
Franklin county voters will cast ballots at 22 polling places from noon to 8 pm Friday in a special election on issuing $60,000 in bonds to acquire and enlarge the existing hospital. Federal funds of about $33,000 to $35,000 are allocated for construction, with ownership to rest in a nine member, nonpartisan county board.

McKay to Speak at Grace Stake Youth Conference

Dayton Team Wins Cache Valley Baseball Championship
The Dayton baseball team defeated Richmond 6 to 2 in the final to claim the Cache Valley league title. Earlier results included a 13 to 3 win over Hyrum and a 15 to 8 victory over Cornish with homers by Lyle Porter and Theo Schraneveldt. After securing the championship Dayton and guests shared a chicken dinner at Community Campup Cub Canyon with about 23 attendees.
