Kay Hampton and family from Pocatello were in a car crash en route to an engineer party at Lava. Their car was struck by a large vehicle hauling a house trailer, pushing the car 453 feet. The baby in a bassinet sustained a head bump and nose bleed and was treated at the hospital. a later x ray showed no serious injury. The other child was unhurt.

Salt Lake Man Injured in Fall From Scaffold
LaVon Whitney, 40, of Salt Lake City, suffered a severe compound fracture above the left ankle when he fell from a 27 foot scaffold at the Lego Milk plant here Tuesday around 5 PM. A loose board caused the collapse. he struck the wall before landing on concrete and was taken to Preston hospital, later moved to LDS hospital. Earl Cline, 18, helped aid Whitney as coworkers worked at the construction site.

Geddes Farewell Dance Slated Before Air Force Duty

Two Autos Collide Near Clifton Sunday
In Clifton Sunday afternoon Gary H. Croshaw, 20, and Eldon H. Povey, 19, both of Clifton, were in a collision at the B. H. Winward driveway on Highway 35. Croshaw’s 1949 sedan followed Povey’s 1949 model car. Povey attempted a right turn. Croshaw struck Povey’s auto, both cars traveling south. Croshaw’s vehicle sustained about 200 dollars damage, Povey’s about 150. Sheriff Ray Talbot investigated.
