Pickup Camper Damages Conveyors at Del Monte Plant
Damages exceeding 2500 dollars were caused by a late model red Ford pickup with a camper unit that struck two conveyors at the Del Monte canning plant in Franklin on October 24 just after midnight. Deputy Dave Noyes reported the incident as a forklift operator tried to signal the driver, who then fled after tearing out a second conveyor and damaging the camper shell. Mal Wagstaff of DelMonte Magistrate Court ordered a pre sentence investigation for Robert Craig Jensen, 23, of Star Route Thatcher, following a DWI arrest on Highway 34 October 24 at 1:50 a.m.
