Lewis Charles Vance received an indeterminate penitentiary term after pleading guilty to burglary. Dean William Kenworthy was found guilty of grand larceny, with Ralph Amick acquitted. More than 500 workers from 12 wards gathered at the Dayton welfare farm to top and load over 500 tons of beets. Families traveled up to 30 miles, bringing beet knives, loaders, and buckets as the crowd, under Stake President Wynn, organized a well coordinated effort with good spirits and no profanity.

Utah Youth Injured In Tractor Accident
DeMar Dee Jones, 18, son of Mr and Mrs Ross Jones of Manug Utah who has been living with his grandmother in Dayton Utah, was seriously injured Friday afternoon when riding on a tractor fender. The fender broke and he was thrown under the wheel suffering pelvis fracture and internal injuries. He was taken to Preston hospital for treatment. His mother stayed with him as a brother Bobby arrived from Wyoming by plane. Last reports stated his condition was as good as could be expected.
