The annual Christmas Seals campaign began November 15 and runs through December to fund TB prevention. Franklin County leaders urge buying Seals to support the mobile X-ray unit and other National TB Association efforts. Man Shoots Self After Arrest in Preston
Nolan D Lowe 56 of Preston was taken into custody by state officers for a minor traffic violation and lacking a license. After being allowed to return home he shot himself with a shotgun. Funeral services are planned tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Preston First Ward Chapel. Survivors include two daughters, three grandsons, and many siblings. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
