Linrose Farmer Dies After Runaway Wagon Accident
Linrose farmer Tomasi 70 died of injuries from a wagon runaway on his farm near Linrose. He was born in Austria in 1877 and came to the U S in 1901. Survivors include his wife two sons a daughter 12 grandchildren and brothers in Austria. Funeral arrangements handled by Webb Hendricks.

The Clarksdale Victory, to be renamed for Pfc. Leonard Brostrom, wrecked off a northern British Columbia island. The 10,850 ton ship broke apart amid mountainous seas with 48 of 51 crew unaccounted and only three survivors sighted offshore. The vessel was en route to the United States when the disaster occurred.

Gov. Robins appointed Robert E. Smylie 33 as Idaho attorney general to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Robert Ailshie. Ailshie, 39, a noted Republican official, died of a heart attack in Boise. His father was the late Idaho Supreme Court Justice James F. Ailshie.

Farewells Planned For Two Missionaries Leaving Soon
A farewell dance in the fifth ward hall Friday November 29 honors Herman Ralph Keller who leaves December 1 for the mission home before joining the central Atlantic mission field. Keller, son of Mr and Mrs Herman Keller, graduated from Preston high school and served in the marine corps participating in the South Pacific invasion including Iwo Jima where he was among the first wounded to be sent home. Friends are invited to attend.
