Ezra Lewis 80 longtime Cache Valley resident dies after illness
Ezra Lewis aged 80 died at his family home after an extended illness. He was born November 18, 1867 in Richmond to Nurriah and Martha Lewis. Survived by his wife Sarah Ann Blake and nine children including Ezra G. and Fredrick N. Lewis. many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday in the sixth ward conducted by Bishop Lyman. Burial followed in Richmond cemetery by Richards and Sons mortuary.

Born in Hull England January 27 1863 she married Richard M Galloway in 1881 before coming to the United States forty four years ago. She lived in Ogden Newdale Idaho and Hyde Park residence before death at Dayton following a long active life in Relief Society community work.

Sucker Stick Punctures Child’s Throat in Oxford Accident
Barry Kendall, son of Mr and Mrs Karl Kendall of Oxford, fell while chewing an all day sucker stick. The pointed stick pierced his throat and cut the nasal passage, requiring several stitches. He was rushed to Preston Hospital for treatment and is recovering satisfactorily.

Prominent Grace Man Martin Sorenson Dies at 58
Martin Ezra Sorenson of Grace, a farmer and LDS church member, died at Cari bou hospital in Soda Springs Tuesday night from a heart ailment after 10 days in care. Born May 11, 1889, in Ovid, he married Ida J. Petersen in 1910. He served as bishop of Central ward, Sunday school superintendent, Bannock stake president, and was a Grace second ward high priest. Surviving include his wife, his father, several children, and numerous siblings across several towns.

Three planes from Preston airport joined in an aerial search for Bruno Koski missing five days on a flight from Montpelier to Salt Lake City. Chet Moulton, Idaho state director of the Civil Aeronautics Association, arrived to assist as other aircraft from Logan Grace Soda Springs and Montpelier joined. The search centered around the Grace area after a reported departure from Montpelier at 9 30 am Saturday.
