The Franklin County Farm Bureau federation annual meeting convened Monday night at the county courthouse with President Orval D. serene presiding. Resolutions covered grain handling in Idaho, weed law enforcement, crop pricing, tobacco and alcohol advertising bans, road upkeep, stop signs on rural roads, and Youth talent fund reclassifications. W S Geddes led the resolution committee. Karl Ballif read the financials. Frank J. Gilbert reported bureau accomplishments. Karen Nielsen performed with Karen Tingey. Lewis twins sang. Auto Crash Near Dayton Causes Spill and Injury
A 1953 model automobile driven by Mr Sparrow ran off the road Monday around 5 p m two and a half miles south of Dayton and struck a manure spreader owned by G Schwartz. The car bounded into a borrow pit and overturned slightly injuring Sparrow and causing about 200 dollars in damage.

Indians Close Season With 46-6 Victory Over Filer
Preston Indians finished a strong season by beating Filer 46 to 6 in Friday grid action. Four H Award To Boy Scouts
The Franklin county 4 H club committee selected the Cade council, Boy Scouts of America, to receive the 1954 4 H friendship award plaque. The award honors cooperative efforts promoting the 4 H program and will be presented at the southeastern Idaho 4 H leaders meeting in Pocatello. Sugar beet harvest completes across districts. October beets total 61 156 tons with 13 100 tons in November. Checks mailed for Oct beets total 683 000 dollars plus 66 cents per ton on 1953 beets. Factory operations running smoothly. slicing to finish by late November and overall sugar-making by December 1.
