Annual Birkey Shoot Planned by Preston Rifle Club
The Preston Rifle club schedules its annual turkey shoot next Sunday at the Don Whittle range two miles west of Preston near the Bear river bridge. Relays accommodate big bores or any guns, including deer rifles with iron sights or scopes. William Oliverson Dies Here Yesterday
William Oliverson died yesterday at Preston Memorial hospital after a heart attack at his home the prior Saturday. Born April 4, 1902 in Franklin, he served as Franklin city marshal and worked at the Lewiston sugar factory and California Packing Corp plant there. For ten years he was with Union Pacific in Ogden, spending weekends at home in Franklin. Surviving are his wife Eunice, a daughter Verna Jean Robinette of Spokane, a grandchild, and brothers Riley Oliverson of Franklin, Herman Oliverson of Lewiston, and sisters Sophia Manning of Salt Lake City and Margressa Manning of Preston.

Polio Leaders Plan Annual Drive in Idaho
