Aged Drivers In Highway Collision Near Franklin
A Saturday evening crash near Franklin caused damage estimated in the hundreds and slight injuries to two occupants. Frank Inman Potter of Los Angeles drove a 1939 Mercury while M H Preece, 82, of Cove Utah, drove a 1934 Graham. Both cars collided on a hill about 500 feet north of Franklin around 9 15. Police report Preece was blinded by bright lights and swerved into the approaching car. The impact pushed the Preece car into the Olsen driveway near the Olsen garage. Continue on Page 8.

Widow Geddes Is Buried In Preston Cemetery
Mrs. Geddes widow of Hugh Stewart Geddes and former Banida resident died after ill health. Following her husband’s death she lived in Idaho Falls and spent recent years in care. Funeral was held in Idaho Falls and burial occurred in Preston cemetery where Mr Geddes rests.

Famous Negro Ghosts to Play Preston 7-Up Here
The famous Iowa Colored Ghosts Negro team returns to competition after six years for an exhibition game against the Preston 7-Up team at the local ball park on Friday night May 28. Rex Wallgren Wins KVNU S annual journalism scholarship
Rex Wallgren of Preston received the Zannual sine scholarship from KVNU in Logan for outstanding work in journalism. He studied at USACE and plans a journalism career after two LDS mission in Minnesota. He wrote half hour scripts aired on KVNU and KSL and assisted in script direction.
