The Franklin County Fish and Game Association hosts a jamboree this Saturday night at Preston High School gym. A fish dinner runs from 6 30 to 10 pm with prizes donated by local merchants, games, dancing, booths, and a wildlife film. Tickets cost 1 50 for nonmembers, membership is 1 50.

Guilty Verdict Against Driver in Baxter Fatal Crash
A jury found Max Coburn guilty of negligent homicide for the November 9 collision northwest of Preston that killed Hazel and Donald Baxter. Judge John A. Idaho dairies set record per cow production in 1958
The Local Testing Association reports in Franklin County Idaho that 30 herds averaged 12 441 pounds of milk and 440 96 pounds of butterfat per cow in 1958, with four herds using pipeline milkers and all herds milked by machines. Ira Kennington presented the annual report at the Franklin County courthouse. Eugene Paskins noted these figures as the highest Association production reported.

Boise report says the 35th Idaho Legislature adjourned sine die at 11:50 p m March 9 and will not reconvene unless called by the governor. The Taft Hartley labor bill and a home rule amendment stalled in committees or failed in votes. Governor Smylie fared well overall with about 50 of 75 proposals enacted, while a major reorganizational plan and partisan disputes saw limited action. A new tax plan aimed to raise about 77 million dollars plus 75 million in appropriations, with revenue shortfalls possible.

Franklin county residents receive Easter Seal appeal letters as the Crippled Children's Society of Idaho begins its annual drive ending on Easter day March 29. Trustee Ww. L. Weber Jr. notes the envelopes include seals and a return envelope to support crippled and handicapped children. Last year contributions aided 707 people across Idaho with disabilities from arthritis to cerebral palsy and heart defects.
