Preston Boots and Saddle Club Announces Queen Contest
The Preston Boots and Saddle Club will host the annual queen contest in connection with the 1959 Famous Night Rodeo on Saturday July 18 at the rodeo arena. A queen and two attendants will reign during rodeo festivities July 30 31 and Aug 4. Youths 15 to 25 who have not been queens are invited to compete. prizes include saddle bridle boots and a lariat. Audience prizes will award items. admission to the queen’s show is free.

The 14th annual 4-H club camp at Bear Lake plans a three day program from June 29 to July 1. About 300 youths are enrolled with camp activities including swimming boating handicraft nature study and campfires. The Preston group departs Monday at 8 a.m. from the county courthouse and arrives at Camp Hunt by 11 a.m. Two lifeguards supervise waterfront activities and residents will be housed in tents and barracks for the session ending July 1.
