Franklin County approves bond issue for West Side School District
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners approves the West Side School District Class A No. 202 bond issue of 26 500 dollars for Dayton Clifton and Weston school construction equipment and upgrades. The resolution follows a July 1 1950 election and notes more than half the district’s taxable property is owned by non residents. Arthur Sant chairs the petition and the action.

A new rabbit repellent labeled No Nib s was tested at the University of Florida agricultural experiment station in Gainsville. Wild cottontail rabbits were used. lettuce and bean crops showed near total protection after spray or dust application, while untreated patches suffered heavy damage.
