Six year old Joan Esplin, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ralph Esplin of 341 North State street, was injured when an automobile struck her in front of her home last Tuesday afternoon. She suffered shock bruises and a facial cut but no broken bones. The car halted to let out her twin brother from school as another vehicle approached from the north.

Car Crash Damages File At North State Street
A Saturday night collision on North State Street caused about 1600 in damage. A pickup owned by Cecil E. Blackwood sat parked as Lloyd Whitehead drove a 1947 Chrysler southward, swerved to avoid a backing vehicle, skidded and struck a light pole. One car totaled. Blackwood cited for reckless driving.

Driver Hits Parked Car To Avoid Another Crash
Petrese Rho and officers investigated a Sunday 2:30 am accident on North State Street near the Acreage Plant Co. A car owned by Fred Gregerson was parked and damaged about 115 dollars.
