Franklin County’s Lucretia Maughan to Retire After 22 Years
Extension Agent Lucretia Maughan will retire Friday after 22 years and one month of continuous service in Franklin County. Appointed February 1, 1947 by the University of Idaho Extension Service she was the county’s first home economics agent and has the longest uninterrupted tenure in Idaho. Before becoming home agent she led Franklin County 4-H clubs and served on the 4-H Leaders Council with thousands of girls affected.
