Preston Indians, second in conference, open the district tournament against Malad in the Eastern division tonight. Malad has defeated Preston twice. coach Ivan Davis believes Preston’s teamwork improves as Bracken Webb’s scoring is now aided by teammates. The event features Snake River, Bear Lake, Soda Springs, and a two-division format with games in American Falls and nearby venues. The schedule runs through February and early March with rounds February 5 and March 1.

Breakin Damages Home in Grace. Suspected to Involve Theft

Funeral services were held Saturday for Heber Raymond Bingham Patriarch of the Franklin Stake who died February 12 in the Preston hospital He was born November 20 1884 in Wilson Lane Weber County Utah son of Bingham Heber and Rogella He married Sept 4 1912 in the Salt Lake Temple They lived in Linrose area most of their married life He served as president of the Franklin County Dairy Association director of the Beet Growers and on the Franklin County Hospital ward He was the first bishop of the Linrose ward for 14 years He served on the Oneida Stake Sunday School board superintendent of the Weston ward Sunday School and a member of the Franklin Stake high council He was Franklin Stake Patriarch 25 years He served a LDS mission to Germany and attended Weber Stake Academy in Ogden and tanga school in Preston He was a farmer Survivors include his wife 12 children many relatives and 87 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren continues on age 5
