District Boxing Meet Brings Five Teams To Preston
Five Idaho fifth district high schools Blackfoot Pocatello Malad West Side and Preston will compete in a three day boxing meet March 13 14 15 at Nielsen gymnasium Preston. A total of 54 bouts will determine rankings with 20 bouts March 13 19 on March 14 and 15 on March 15 starting at 7 p m. USAC judge Tuff Linford will officiate with extra seating arranged for anticipated crowds.

Private Garage, Car Stop Big Transport In Crash Near Bere
A snowbound collision near Bere on Highway 91 sent Harold Christensen and his Toponce truck into Lester Dunkley’s garage. Christensen 24 of Newton survived with no serious injuries after the semi struck the garage wing. Dunkley’s car inside was only slightly damaged. Thom as Rose of Weston witnessed the incident as the two vehicles neared each other amid a heavy snow flurry.
