Two Men Sentenced for Theft of Guns in Preston Case
Two men from Preston admitted entering the home of N D Lowe at 709 South State in January and stealing hunting guns. Don Inglet, 35, received 80 days in jail and a $50 fine, while Ray Johnson, 28, got six months and a $300 fine. Sheriff Ray Talbot said the guns included a 12 gauge shotgun and a 30 30 rifle. Johnson allegedly tried to sell the guns before they were reported missing.

Robert L Radford son of Lillian Radford of Preston has been advanced to specialist third class in the U S Army and is stationed in Hawaii. He entered service in August 1954 and trained at Fort Ord California. Idaho National Guard officers Lt Col H Vi Smith and Lt Col Phillip M Marsh visited Preston to organize a new unit with a target of six officers and 88 enlisted men.
