Farmers Use War Incomes To Liquidate Debts

Pacific Northwest farmers and ranchers used higher 1944 net income to erase 13.7 million dollars in mortgage indebtedness to the Federal Land Bank of Spokane. The bank reduced outstanding loans by 20 percent since Dec 31, 1943, while new loans of 4.1 million were issued in 1944, ending with 54.62 million in mortgage loans.
