Santa Claus Visit Set With Free Show For Children

The merchants committee announces Santa will visit the county with a free picture show for children under 12 at 11:30 to 1:30 at the Isis and Grand theaters managed by Pauline Nelson. Junior police will organize the line and supervise exits. Special gifts will be distributed after the show.

Magpie Drive Offers Prizes for Trout Campaign

Wayne Evans reports the county sportsmen’s group conducts a Dec 27 to Mar 31 drive offering $25 for the largest magpie head turned in. Prizes of $15 and $5 follow, with a three cent bounty bonus from the Fish and Game Association, totaling ten cents per head for local participants.

Christmas Choral Festival Set for December 23

A junior chamber sponsored choral festival with about 200 voices is planned for December 23 at the courthouse steps weather permitting. The public is invited to attend and local groups will visit the community to spread Christmas spirit.
