Rocky Mountain Dairy Pays 1954 Dividend to Franklin County Farmers
Franklin county dairy farmers, members of the Rocky Mountain Dairy Association, receive a large $350 000 dividend for 1954. Laver Doney, vice president, says the payment marks the dairy’s largest ever, with Franklin County supplying about a third of milk to the cheese factory and Rocky Mountain Grade A milk plant. The association, formed from a merger with Cache Valley Dairy, has paid over one and a half million dollars in dividends since 1942, and plans credit to loyal members and local purchasers who support regional dairy products.
