Deer rescue on Glen Dale Reservoir ice foiled by dangerous footing
Ronald Owen and Ronald Auger called Sheriff Arlando Larsen when a buck was trapped on the ice at Glen Dale Reservoir about 11:30 AM. Conservation Officer Lee Hunt helped recover the deer with a boat, pulling it to shore where it fled after a wobble. Predators often reach such deer first, the sheriff said.

Cantata Set Tonight by Forty Second Rotary Club
The forty second annual Rotary Club Christmas cantata will be held tonight at 8 o'clock at the Preston South Stake Center.
