Nash Family Named 1975 Franklin County Farm Family
The Wesley S. Nash family of Weston has been named Franklin County 1975 Farm Family of the Year. The Nashes own 300 acres, built a new dairy barn, raised an excellent herd, and worked with Farmers Home Administration Soil Conservation Service and ASCS to improve the operation. They will compete with 14 counties for a district title as Idaho selects a national winner.

Post Office To End Saturday Window Service At Preston
Postmaster Lyman Merrill announced that starting Jan 3 there will be no window service at the Preston Post Office on Saturdays. Window hours will run 8 30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Merrill says study shows only about 30 percent Saturday activity, and the change will not affect Saturday mail pickup or delivery.
