Barlow Gilbert of Fairview was elected president of the Preston Pilots club at a special meeting held at the airport Monday evening. Sky Nudging Tower Erected for KPST Radio Station
Throngs gather around the new KPST site north and east of Preston to witness the tower’s completion. The 91 foot high structure is the tallest in Cache valley as the FM antenna tops it. Eighteen guy wires stabilize the girders. Studios near Logan and Montpelier will originate broadcasts. The station will run 4000 watts from 6 am to midnight on 92.5 megacycles.

Blackfoot Firm Wins City Sewer Project Contract
The Goodwin Construction Company of Blackfoot won the Preston sewer district No 4 improvement project bid. Their bid of 66863.80 was about 10000 below the next lowest and 40000 under the highest bid of 113000. City officials and bidders discussed the awards at Wednesday night’s council meeting. The firm will move equipment to Preston and begin work early next week on the new outflow line and service mains in the southwest and southeast Preston areas.
