County buys $100,000 rock crusher for road work
Franklin county approved a $100,000 rock crusher purchase to speed county road construction and cut costs. Car Hits Train After Stall on Tracks Near Preston
Donna Golightly 17 of Preston drove through a railroad crossing losing sight of the tracks due to high weeds. The car sustained about 200 dollars damage to the left fender but no injuries to Golightly or passengers Gaylene Hodges and Sherra Evans. Train crew became aware only after brakemen spotted the damaged vehicle. Captain Twitchell the engineer from Pocatello was not hurt.

The district sold 800000 in school bonds at a net rate of 5.2704 percent to Boettcher and Company of Denver for the East side elementary project.
