Franklin County villages held elections Tuesday to choose men for village councils for the next two years. In Franklin 26 ballots were cast with Samuel J. Handy and Percy Gibson re-elected receiving 33 and 22 votes. eight write-ins for Victor Jensen, two for Cyril Lowe, and one for Bart Hill. Preston High School musicians returned from the Idaho Falls state festival with superior ratings across orchestra choir and girls glee club. Dayton ward will sponsor a professional wrestling card at the Preston high school gym on May 1 to raise funds for a new church building. The lineup includes two small wrestlers Mario Sanchez and Mighty Schultz in a two out of three falls match, a 500-pound bear versus Jacques Dubois, and Bill Melby versus Danny Ferrara in the heavyweight bout.
