Annual Concert by Eastside School Groups Set for May
About 250 music students from Eastside School District prepare a free public concert in the high school gym. A sixth grade band of 40, joined by 120 junior high players from Preston Whitney and Franklin, will perform. The combined junior-senior high orchestra of 50 includes strings with woodwinds and brass. The high school band of 55 will play contest numbers and more. The program, directed by John Manning, starts at 8 p.m. with 7:45 arrivals. it lasts 1 hour 15 minutes. No admission charge.
