Utah State Agricultural College Visit Promotes Logan Horse Show
Tom geckion of Utah State Agricultural College and Wen Haven of Log an traveled to Preston Wednesday to gain co operation for a USAC horse show set for May 24. They sought the participation of Logan's local Ladies posse and lined up Eleanor Swainston Sheriff Lee Hansen and Mel Reeves. Reeves agreed to be ringmaster and Thomas saddlery will sponsor the saddlehorse trophy. The posse was invited to join the parade and any other events during the noon program.

At Blackfoot for the South Idaho championships the best high school boxers from districts five and six competed. The Handy service station at Franklin was entered by unknown persons during the night Saturday. Two tires and a case of oil were taken, with a window broken and the front door left open. Gasoline was stolen from barrels at the Manning Gravel pit north of Preston Wednesday night. Sheriff Hansen urges farmers and others to help locate suspects as some individuals may be visiting private places with extra fuel for farm work.
