Minorities to judge previews of future films in Hollywood
The Coalition Against Blaxportation and AMPTP reach an agreement allowing minorities to attend press screenings and rate films on a 1000 point system. CAB will advise on credibility and relevance while not censoring. The group, about 30 organizations, seeks broader concessions in film industry practices.

Birth control plot belief among young black men in Philly
Atlantic City reports psychologist Dr. Castellano Turner of the University of Massachusetts cites a survey of 1,890 blacks in Philadelphia and Charlotte. Sixty percent of young Philadelphia black males say birth control programs are a plot to eliminate blacks, while overall 39.4 percent of blacks share that view. Turner notes regional and gender differences and says many blacks fear population control driven by white America. He also suggests a belief of possible genocide by government leaders, a view he partly endorses.
