AT&T to Sell COMSAT Stock After FCC Order
AT&T plans to sell 2,895,750 COMSAT shares in a public offering following a FCC Dec 22 decision. COMSAT declined comment while AT&T noted the sale and filed a registration with the SEC by end of April. AT&T already owns and would remain a major customer of COMSAT in the government-established system. The closing price above 95 7/8 valued AT&T’s stake near 161.44 million dollars.
