Prison officials in Jackson Ga stop an escape by Gary Steven Krist 27 a life term kidnapper of Barbara Mackle after he rode a trash truck from the Georgia Diagnostic Classification Center guards track the truck to a nearby dump area and recapture him. Krist and accomplice Ruth Eiseman Schier were convicted in a $500000 kidnapping plot. Eiseman Schier has been released and deported to Honduras.
