Market Eyes Fed Pace as 2017 Rate Hikes Come Into Focus
Investors shift expectations to three or four rate increases in 2017 as the Fed signals gradual tightening. A stronger economy with near full employment, rising confidence, and a robust housing market underpins a pathway toward higher borrowing costs while keeping rates historically low. Fed Chair Yellen will hold a news conference to frame the policy outlook and potential inflation risks amid Trump administration debates.

LAUSD to issue layoff notices to 1600 administrators
The Los Angeles Unified School District plans to issue layoff notices by today to about 1,600 certified and non school based administrators, excluding teachers. State law requires notices by March 15 if layoffs could occur next school year, though recalls or reassignments may occur. Juan Flecha of AALA criticized the fiscal stabilization plan as destabilizing and increasing workloads while noting previous rescissions of notices.
