Surfside paddler Adler inspired life of sport and charity
Adler and Nelson built The SUP Spot and trained together in stand-up paddle racing. After Adler died from a genetic aortic aneurysm, Nelson returned to paddling, completing Catalina on a mission to raise S150000 for breast cancer support and founding Paddle with Purpose. The Adler Paddler in Long Beach now funds the John Ritter Foundation and raises awareness of aortic dissection.
