Measles Vaccine Developed Here at VA Hospital

Local lab researchers at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital developed a measles vaccine in a preliminary trial showing significant protection in the test group. Ten Dollar Wager Youth Dies After Drinking Bet

A 17 year old, Jess C Year, died after attempting to drink two fifths of whisky in under five minutes. Two older youths, Harold Barber 20 and James Yates 23, signed statements saying Lea Lea opened the bottle and drank about three quarters before becoming groggy. They drove to Raytown where Lea was left in a car seat and was found dead hours later.

Blaze Kills Five Children and Two Adults in Easton Cottage
