Majestic 4 rise in California clubs after reformation
The Majestic 4, originally renamed after dropping a member, moved to Los Angeles in 1966 where they quickly found work in rock venues without a booking agent. Joe learned organ by ear, Mary Lee joined as lead vocalist, and the group built a steady dance crowd at the Purple Bunny with Mary’s fresh style complementing the band.
