Pay gap widens between men and women says official
Elizabeth Koontz of the Labor Department warned the wage gap between full time women and men is widening. In 1970 women earned 57 percent of men's income, down from 64 percent in 1969, with education and race influencing gaps. Data cited came from federal statistics discussed at an AAAS meeting, along with panels noting discrimination and calls for less establishment focus within the AAAS.
