Experts Back on Scene in Fight on Gas Well Leak
Texas firefighting experts from the Hellfighters of Houston returned to Granada Hills to tackle a week-old gas well fire after gas was seen leaking from a collar on a five ton cap. Blistering heat had earlier weakened underground seals, roads were closed, and rain reduced spark risk as crews worked to prevent further explosions. The well had ignited on December 18 during cap work and was fought and cooled by Sunday.
