Thugs gun down woman in $3500 dice game holdup
Two masked men burst into Frank's Shoe Shine Parlor on Santa Fe Avenue at about 9 p.m. during a dice game. They fired at Brenda Conner wounding her, fled with $3600 cash and jewelry as two patrolmen arrived, and left ten others claiming losses. She was hospitalized in stable condition.

Suspect in Santa Ana murder receives life term in prison

Two former Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies Ralph Davenport and Penn Weldon received five years probation after pleading guilty to a mail fraud charge.
