Opening day parade kicks off Posen Boys Club season
Opening day on June 13 1965 features a parade forming at 147th Street and Troy at 1 PM proceeding to Campbell Avenue and the Park. More than 200 players coaches and managers join with a Color Guard from Posen Post 990 American Legion amid floats cars and bikes. Cubs vs Yankees game to follow promising a lively matchup.

Recognition Dinner Honoring Retiring Board Members
The Board of Education of School Dist. 143 1/2 held a June 3 1965 dinner at Cavallini's in Midlothian to honor retiring board members. Guests included Mr and Mrs Bernard Krygowski Mr and Mrs Marvin Miller and Mr and Mrs James Smith. Approximately 70 attended with remarks from Supt. Earl J. Schuur and Board President William Howell.

Monsignor Sokolowski announced St Stanislaus summer school will run June 28 to August 4 with Reading and Arithmetic in regular classrooms. Classes meet five days a week. For information call the school at FU8-9211 or the rectory at FU5-1752.
