The annual Council Sea Scout cruise concluded as the largest in the Valley with 58 men and boys aboard 13 vessels from Brownsville Harlingen Weslaco Port Isabel and Mercedes. The squadron sailed May 29 from Port Isabel up the bay with stops at Arroyo Colorado and Port Mansfield, later visiting Padre Island Coast Guard station before detaching. Day Camp Starts Monday At Camp Isabella Here
The Brownies and Girl Scouts begin a five day day camp at Camp Isabella on Monday from 9 am to 2 pm. Mrs Stanley Thoroughman will be camp director with Mrs Alan Anderson as assistant.
