Letter From San Francisco On Remembered Youth Music
A reminiscence of growing up around Polk with early radio Victrolas and homemade tunes. The author recalls Dana Westfall, Bill McGuffin, Zora Shaber, and other local musicians, church orchestras, and an awkward near-miss with a radio studio gig. A late-night Lincoln linotype shop visit reveals a six-foot policeman and shared memories of local talent.
