Bradley Johnson Fund Seeks Help After Childs Surgery

Bradley Johnson 4 year old son of Mr and Mrs Gwynuel Johnson underwent surgery Friday to treat a bleeding ulcer with hopes he can return home after recovery. The fund to defray operation and hospital costs was started two weeks ago by Ralph Wilshusen of North Bend with initial gifts and continuing donations from community members totaling about 47.50.

Polk Band to March in Harvest of Harmony Parade

The Polk band will perform in the Harvest of Harmony parade in Grand Island on October 8. Members will stay to watch bands from across Nebraska compete in the marching exhibition with plans to compete next year.

Dennis Widga son of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Widga joins the Naval Reserves in Omaha. Training began Wednesday Sept 7 with weekly classes for a year except October when he attends boot camp at Great Lakes. After Sept 1 1967 he will serve two years on active duty.
