Former Polk Resident Carl F Hahn Dies in York at 75
Carl F Hahn 75 died Friday at his York home after a two week illness. Born in Pommern Germany September 9 1870 he moved with his family to South America then to Bloomfield Iowa and finally to a farm near Polk before settling in York in 1920. He is survived by his wife Ida one son Leo of Hampton two daughters Rossetta Swanson of York and Mrs Arthur Ziegelbein of Elgin Illinois one brother Ernest of Polk fourteen grandchildren two great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with Rev H Hopmann officiating. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery at Polk.
