Polk Cubs edge Stromsburg for first football win
Polk High School kept their season record at 1-1 with a 20-0 victory over Stromsburg. Randy Branting scored twice and Dave Shenk kicked extra points as Polk outgained Stromsburg 177 to 92 yards and held the Vikings to 51 rushing yards. The Cubs dominated defensively with multiple tackles from Roger Brockevelt Kevin Sandell Kelly Adelson Joel Anderson and Terry Bender. They travel to St Edward next week for a tough road test.
