Gary Stohl, son of Mr and Mrs Walter Stohl, earned a Master of Education in Science on August 23 at the University of Georgia. He was initiated into Kappa Delta Pi and returns to Athens with a graduate assistantship. He plans work toward a Doctorate.

Polk Garden Club hosted Bean Day exhibits with 185 entries and about 600 visitors registering at the door. Four door prizes were awarded at two hour intervals. coffee and cookies were provided throughout the day.
