Wayne Lampshire and two boys of Bogota Colombia and L A are traveling to Anchorage Alaska to settle there meeting Lincoln hosts Gilbert and other family. Lloyd Nordstedt Gary Starck and David of Lincoln visited M G Lindburg and Junior Lindburg family also had Sunday dinner with M G Lindburg Art Dose was a Saturday evening friend at the Lindburg home.
Local notes list a September 13 gathering at Mrs Carroll Ortegren for the Merry Mothers Club. Community members share visits and family events including church activities, hospitality at homes, and social outings around Hordville.
Mr and Mrs Cecil Newton of Chicago returned home after visiting his mother Mrs Ernie Lott and other relatives for a week. Albert Lott of Fairmont joined as Sunday afternoon visitors in the Ernie Lott home. Roger Hanquist family and Dorothy Gleim and sons shared Sunday dinner with Reuben Hanquist. Milan Hanquist and family of Lincoln and Robert Shostrom with Mrs Shostrom were guests at Roger Merchant’s home for her birthday.
Bean Day Campers staged a weekend campout at the Olga Gustafson farm home four and a half miles east of Polk. The group formed a circle for defense against Indians and Bean Day Swedes who tossed firecrackers. Camp members include Ed Brotzman Geo Alexander Glenn Weeks Paul Gustafson and Rachel Gustafson. Sunday breakfast guests were Lloyd and Eleanor Stromberg Rolland Elaine David JoEla Stromberg and Norris Alfred.
Mrs Kenneth Werner entered St Elizabeths hospital in Lincoln on Monday for surgery. Mrs Mildred Shaffer returned to Tucson Arizona on Tuesday after visiting her mother Mrs Anna Wurtz and sister Mrs Oscar Jones and other relatives for two weeks.
