Trinity Lutheran Church led by Pastor B A Barnell invites Sunday School at 10:00 A M and Worship at 11:00 A M. First Wednesday service at 2:00 P M. LCW meets, and choir practice occurs Thursday at 7:30 P M.
Swede Home Gerald Leaf Vice Pastor announces key church events for September including Board of Administration Friday at 8:00 p.m. Sunday worship at 11:00 a.m. Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. General Meeting of the ALCW Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Churchmen meet Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
O A Johnson pastor at Swede Plain leads Sunday services at 9:55 and 11:00 AM with WSCS events on September 12 at 2:00 PM hosted by Mrs Reuben Ehn and Mrs Philip Johnson. Members plan prayer, choir rehearsals, MYF Monday September 10 at 7:30 PM and midweek services. Polk church lists similar sessions led by Mrs Marvin Fredrickson with pre prayer at 1:45 and choir rehearsals on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM.
The church announces a busy week led by Pastor Elmer I. Logan. Events include CYF meetings on Thursday and Monday, Victory Hour every evening, Sunday School for all ages at 10:00 am, Morning Worship at 11:00 am, Eve ning service at 8:00 pm, and additional gatherings for The King's Couples and Ladies Mission Circle.

Mr and Mrs Oscar Sundberg visited their daughter and family Mr and Mrs Gene Bauer in Sut ton on Monday. Sunday supper at the Harvey Sundberg home included Mr and Mrs Harold Johnson Wayne and Keith of Swede Home, Mr and Mrs Roger Hanquist and boys, and Mr and Mrs Adolph Forss of Stromsburg. Grant Willits and Robert Willits with children attended the State Fair Sunday.
Weekend visitors included Mr and Mrs Wayne Best and sons from Omaha at the Burdette Flodman home. The Kislers attended the Miss Joan Stranberg Eugene Heale wedding at Clarks Methodist Church with Alvin Kisler as best man and Julia Kisler flower girl.
Polk and Butler County Farmers Insurance Company of Osceola Nebraska signs fire and windstorm reinsurance with Farmers Mutual Reinsurance Co. Grinnell Iowa enabling broader coverages and rate stability for 990 policyholders. New policies after Sept 1 1962 include windstorm hail smoke explosion aircraft vehicles riot vandalism theft machinery and standing grain fire coverage and livestock protections. Reinsurance provides 100 percent windstorm liability and year to year loss certainty while local control remains with the mutual and agents number five.
