George W. Miller of Harvard filed with the secretary of state as a candidate for the state senate from the 25th district which includes Polk Hamilton and Clay counties. A 54 year old attorney, he is the first to file in the district. Jay Hastings of Osceola previously represented the district in 1939 and served in the 1935 house session.
